WEXFORD KIDS is a well located private practice and we take pride in providing excellent care for children and their families. Our fees are set to help sustain the practice's ongoing provision of high quality care.
As a private practice we require full payment on the day of consultation, and accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard.

For Initial Assessment

Fees for the Initial Comprehensive Assessment will be provided to you when scheduling the assessment. Fee information as well as out of pocket costs will also be emailed to you following the booking.

For Review Appointments

If your child needs a review appointment, and you would like information about fees, please feel very welcome to ask. Some review appointments are quite involved whilst others are more straight forward. Staff can usually indicate several possible fees and possible out of pocket costs for review appointments.

Medicare Rebate

To claim a rebate from Medicare, a valid referral from your GP or specialist is required.
GP referrals are valid for 12 months and specialist referrals for 3 months.
If you are not eligible for Australian Medicare Benefits, you can attend without a GP referral, however you will be liable for the full cost of the service.
We offer online Medicare claims which allows Medicare to pay the rebate for your child's consultation directly into your registered account within 24-48 hours.
Families who are registered for the Medicare Safety Net will be able to claim 80% of the out of pocket cost of the consultation directly into your registered account within 24-48 hours.

Non-Attendance and Cancellation Policy

​We have a long waiting list at Wexford Kids.
We do our best to remind patients of their appointments but this is a courtesy service and it is still parent's responsibility to remember appointment. Missed appointments or late cancellations mean that we are unable to fill that time at short notice to help other children and families.
We require a minimum of 3 working day's notice if you have to cancel or reschedule an appointment, otherwise cancellation fee (which is the full cost of your scheduled appointment) will be charged.
If a cancellation fee has been charged, it must be paid prior to any further services being provided.

Booking Fee

Booking fee which gets charged at the time of making appointment will be deducted from the cost of the second appointment .
The booking fee is not able to be claimed on Medicare and is a non-refundable if you cancel your appointment.

Administration Fee For Non-Consultation Services

Administration fees are charged when practice staff or doctors are requested to write letters, reports, prescriptions, complete forms, release notes or reports, respond to emails or communicate with other services, school or organization.
Please check with the receptionist as the fee for this type of work is based on the professional time and extent of the work involved.
Please note there are no Medicare rebates available for cancellation, booking or administration fees.
